East, Southeast & South

The East of Ireland centres on DUBLIN, includes Co. Wicklow and most of Co. Kildare, and stretches as far up the Irish Sea coast as Carlingford Lough, taking in Co. Louth and most of Co. Meath.

The Southeast, heavily marketed as the sunniest part of the island, encompasses Co. Wexford, Co. Carlow, Co. Kilkenny and Co. Waterford; our version also extends to the southeastern parts of Co. Cork and Co. Tipperary.

The South of the island extends from Cork City, Harbour and environs to take in most of the region styled Avondhu, based on the main river valley of the Munster Blackwater (Abháin Dúbh) and into southern Co. Tipperary.
